According to the record written in 1726, the following annual events were held at Gokuraku-in before.

  • February 15th, Hannya-e (memorial service of reading the part of "Hannya kyo")
  • February 22nd, Taishi-e (memorial service for Prince Shotoku)
  • March 21st, Mie-e (memorial service for Kobo-Daishi)
  • April 8th, Bussho-e (ceremony for Buddha's Birthday)
  • May, Daihannya-e (memorial service of reading the part of "Dai Hannya kyo")
  • July 15th, Urabon-e Buddhist ceremony
  • September, Daihannya-e (memorial service of reading the part of "Dai Hannya kyo")
  • October, Benten-e (memorial service for Benzaiten, Sarasvati)
  • December, Butsumyo-e. (Buddha chanting ceremony)
